Nel mentre – Collector’s Edition
The Collector Edition, released in December 2025, represents the latest theoretical work of designer Paolo Fontana, exploring the intersection of ethics and project.
A journey through five interconnected principles where philosophy and design merge into a single organic reasoning: thoughts and case studies distilled from the liminal territory where intuition becomes concrete.
Through a vocabulary that ranges from “Clarity of Objectives” to the “Resilience of the Result,” these pages navigate between the ethics of making and the poetry of function.
Each chapter is a tile in a larger mosaic—a dialogue between giants of thought, from Nietzsche to Wittgenstein, from Heidegger to Aristotle—and the masters of the project like Dieter Rams, Zaha Hadid, and Ettore Sottsass. It is the experience of someone who believes that design is not just problem-solving, but a socio-political declaration and a search for authenticity.
This is a sort of an object in rebellion against the tyranny of the new and the superficiality of the ephemeral. An invitation to burst the “bubble” of self-referential design, to welcome slowness as a resource, and to rediscover that true project value lies in the invisible balance that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
